A Composite Card is the models business card. A collection of your best photographs to send to agents and potential clients. Most often, it is your one and only chance to impress them. Each Comp card, sometimes called a Zed card, has your name, sizes, hair and eye color, along with your agents logo, address and phone numbers. NEVER PUT YOUR OWN ADDRESS OR ACTUAL PHONE number on your card. The reason being that if some psycho gets a hold of it and sees where you live and how to contact you, there could be a big problem. Only use an agents contact information or possibly your cell phone. If you don't have an agent yet, leave a space large enough on the composite to place a sticker. This is also convenient if you have several agencies. |

| Okay, now let's talk about the layout... | |||
The
standard 2 sided composite
FRONT: A close up of your face and your name BACK: All the photos on the back should be a mix of smiles, commercial ads, fashion, athletic looks and or a body shot. Your card is more professional if each shot is with different outfits, hair and make-up changes and taken inside the studio and out on location. Your stats, i.e. your sizes will also be on the back. |
| There are also 4 sided comp cards and many other designs. Most agencies have there own fixed style. Sometimes a horizontal shot is used, then again you could put 3 or 5 photos on the back. It's up to you, but always ask for 2nd and 3rd opinions. Remember, it's selling you in all aspects of the business. | |||
